Limestone
Limestone from our rock quarries is crushed and screened to meet specifications for various construction materials, such as class 'A', class 'B', asphalt aggregates, and so on. Various sizes of clean stone (peastone, drainage stone, etc.) are also produced, as well as agricultural lime.
Also occasionally available are aggregate products produced from minerals such as virginite, granites, and so on.
Sand and Gravel Products
Raw material from sand or gravel pits is crushed or screened to meet various requirements, such as blending sand, winter sand, and other, finer aggregates.
Hot Mix Asphaltic Concrete
Available in both base and binder courses, meets all municipal, provincial, and federal specifications, according to mix design. Though typically available from our Corner Brook operation for general private sales, asphalt may also be purchased from any plant site which is in operation.
High Performance Cold Mix Asphaltic Concrete
This product is a versatile concrete in which the binding agent remains semi-solid after cooling. It is used as easily during the winter as well as during the summer. It is used primarily when hot mix asphaltic concrete is not available (during winter months and in rural areas), as an all purpose pothole and patch repair. If installed and compacted properly, the performance of this material is comparable to that of hot mix asphaltic concretes. Maintenance crews in private industry and in municipal, provincial, and federal government departments use this material regularly to repair asphalt surfaces ranging from driveways to highways to airport runways.
